Albert County - So Much to Do!
| Albert County on Fundy Coastal Drive - 150 km of rolling hills and coastline - includes the Hopewell Rocks, Cape Enrage, Fundy National Park, Crooked Creek protected area, the Bay of Fundy Hemispheric Shorebird Reserve at Mary's Point, and in the centre of the UNESCO Bay of Fundy Biosphere Reserve. |
| Albert County is a multi-day designation with sights and experiences that will highlight your stay. There's lots of adventure, fine eating , quality places to stay, a National Park and of course the Bay of Fundy with its phenomenal tides. You may enjoy spending time on the roads and byways discovering hidden treasures including the covered bridges of Albert County or the studios of our skilled artisans. For bird watchers there are habitats galore - the most spectacular being the mud flats of Mary's Point with its thousands of sandpipers. The abundance of salt marshes provides habitat for birds of other feathers. Walk on the ocean floor at one of our wilderness beaches - and don't be surprised if you find a fossil or two dating back 340 million years.
Discover our history by visiting one of our museums or by checking out the dykes built by Acadians over three hundred years ago. Learn about the Mi'kmaq god, Glooscap, and the legends of how he created the tides, Hopewell Rocks and other Fundy phenomena.
Just across the Estuary from FreshAir Adventure is Fundy National Park, offering superb camping and a wide variety of hiking trails - some to waterfalls, others with views of the Bay.
